Abstract :
This paper presents an adequate control for smoothing the power injected by a double-fed induction generator (DFIG) in the grid. Its principle is based on a simple coordination between the DC bus voltage control and the voltage battery energy storage systems (BESS) control. Smoothed output power and good operating performance of DFIG strongly depend on the stabilization of the DC bus. By using the proposed method, the stress of the capacity and the stress on power converters are reduced. A low pass filter (LPF) is inserted in the circuit of the DC bus for the effectiveness of smoothing. The robustness of the proposed control is validated by numerical simulations on Matlab / Simulink / SimPowerSystems.
