Abstract
The exponential growth of engineering institutions in India necessitates quality processes, resources and manpower to produce engineering graduates capable of meeting industries´ requirements. This requires the implementation of Excellence models and in this context, the Engineering Excellence model (E2m) has been developed. The model has 10 criterions, on a 1000 scale and has been implemented in an engineering institution, with pre and post implementation audits. The pre implementtation score was 388 and it improved considerably in a period of one year to 618 after post implementation, achieving continuous quality improvements and marching towards excellence.
