Abstract :
Service-oriented application enables the fast development of novel converged applications composed from existing cloud Web services. However, existing testing approaches have been mostly developed for monolithic applications and are not directly applicable to the testing of service-oriented applications owing to hidden interactions among network-available services. In this paper, we present a novel scenario-based testing method for converged applications composed of Internet and Telecom Web services. It transforms a scenario specification consisting of multiple partial scenarios into an intermediate test model expressed by input/output activity diagram, and then automatically derives a test suite from the model. The derived test scenarios are executed and analyzed under the selected test architectures. The proposed method is expected to play an instrumental role in the quality assurance of converged applications in the era of Internet of service.
