Abstract
Modern GPUs can be used to speed up password recovery by the brute-force attack. However, longer and more complex passwords increase greatly the number of candidate passwords to be checked. In this paper, we introduce the distributed password cracking protocol on multiple GPU nodes and propose to distribute fairly candidate passwords to multiple nodes. Passwords to be checked at every working-node are different without overlapping each other.
