Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an algorithm that provides high-quality 3D images of moving human targets using ultrawideband through-wall radar measurements. Inspired by inverse synthetic aperture radar imaging, the algorithm estimates the dimensions and the approximate shape of the human body by fusion of multiple back-projected images of the target motion. The performance of the proposed method is verified by an experiment with a walking human target. The measurement results show that the algorithm provides good images although low-resolution sparse array radar was used to acquire the experimental data.
