Abstract
Biasing for base station (BS) association in heterogeneous LTE-A networks has been proposed to improve throughput and coverage. This paper presents theoretical and numerical analysis of throughput and coverage for biasing SINR criterion to associate with micro or femto cell using in a simulation program. In the simulation program, the downlink from base station to mobile user was studied and results are shown for 3 dB biasing to motivate association to femto base station.
