Abstract
In this study the brain activity created by pain stimulus is investigated through fNIRs imaging technique. The channels are grouped into 3 clusters by automatic processing of the optical signal: active, passive, negative active. Yule-Walker and k-means are used for signal processing and clustering respectively. The active channels are successfully identified. This study is a preliminary study which will allow for reliable detection of brain activity related to pain stimulus when repeated on multiple subjects.
