Abstract :
A few-mode fiber with a central depressed index region is designed for few-mode fiber parametric amplification. Such a design allows the zero dispersion wavelengths of both the LP01 and the LP11 modes shifted to the center of the C band. High gain and large bandwidth parametric amplification is demonstrate for both the LP01 and the LP11 modes in a single fiber.
