  • Abstract
    A novel platform for integrated photonic circuits is proposed based on selective oxidation of refractory metals (SORM). Low-loss tantalum pentoxide coupled micro-ring optical resonators and high-index contrast ridge waveguides are demonstrated based on this platform.
