Abstract :
Spatial-mode couplers (SMC) are critical devices in mode-division-multiplexed systems. We report a fused SMC with a low loss of 1.1~2 dB and high mode-extinction ratio of ≥20dB for a broad wavelength range of 1539-1555 nm.
