Abstract
In our modern day world our daily energy requirements keep growing at a rate far more than what can be matched by our sources of power. The need for renewable energy sources has already gained much importance in this regard. However the need for the hour Is to find some middle ground between conventional and non-conventional sources, an interface where both can coexist thus enhancing freedom of choice to consumers. For such a co-existence to be plausible the smart-grids of today need an effective control strategy. This paper explores the use of LabVIEW interfaced with DAQ as a possible interface device for implementing effective demand sharing algorithms in smart grids.
