Abstract

Article describes web portal development process. The aim of application is to make lecturer - student communication more efficient. Its major point is that every important information, related with specific course, would be easily accessible to students. Additionally, lecturer should be equipped with mechanism, that enable him to inform all assigned to course students, about current announcements. Application was build on client - server architecture, where server side was created on the basis of Spring Framework and client side was made using Ext JS JavaScript library. Server application API was designed according to REST architecture guidelines and communication between client and server is held by AJAX technology.
