Abstract :
Two design parameters, SNR and correlation, are key factors for enhancing channel capacity in MIMO systems. For the handset antenna design, radiation efficiency is also an important evaluation factor. This paper presents simple formulas of design parameters of mobile terminals and an optimum antenna design for handset antennas based on a realistic propagation model to estimate the channel capacity.
