Abstract :
In this paper, emphasis is placed on a “real time” criterion for the identification of the presence of rain events along a satellite link. The criterion is based on an empirical sky status indicator (SSI) based on ground-based radiometric measurements, collected at 23.8 and 31.4 GHz.
