Abstract
In this work, the fundamental parameters required to describe on-body propagation at 60 GHz are characterized for the first time. This is achieved by means of a theoretical model leading to analytical results for the field radiated by dipoles at an arbitrary distance from the body. Further physical insight is obtained by propagation measurements between two antennas radiating over a phantom emulating the electromagnetic properties of the human body.
