Abstract :
Transformation electromagnetics is a very promising tool for electromagnetic engineers. It allows the modification of the shape of original electromagnetic structures by changing adequately the magnetic and electric constants with respect the original configuration. In this paper, we have studied the robustness of this technique when a discretisation is applied for the convenience of practical implementations. To this aim, a hyperbolic lens has been chosen, and two practical discretisations have been studied and compared. The obtained results demonstrate that both manufacturing techniques provide very similar results to the original lens.
