Abstract
Studies on the TREC system (Time-Reversal Electromagnetic Chamber) demonstrated its ability to generate coherent wave fronts in a reverberation chamber [1]. Though originally motivated for EMC tests [1], the generation of coherent wavefronts within a reverberating cavity has also a potential interest in antenna testing. In this paper, we present a preliminary 2D simulation aiming at testing a new method of measuring antennas. From this simulation we show how wavefront quality, within the test zone, depends on the number of exciting antennas, the signal bandwidth, the incidence angle of the impinging wavefront and the width of the test zone.
