  • Abstract
    In this paper a mathematical model of the diffraction of a plane electromagnetic wave by a periodic “pre-Cantor grating” is developed. The grating consists of perfectly conducting strips located above the shield and the case of an E-polarized incident wave is considered. The mathematical model is based on boundary singular integral equations. Discrete mathematical model with the help of an efficient method of discrete singularities is created for the numerical experiment of this problem. Numerical results of wave scattering on the gratings are shown.
