Abstract :
This paper presents an overview of the results of the development of a Ku-Band electronically steerable array antenna for Mobile Satellite Communications. The antenna is based on hybrid mechanical-electronic steerable array architecture. A summary of the design of a transmit/receive dual-aperture antenna and the latest validation results are presented. The antenna is applicable to broadband bi-directional SatCom systems and is particularly suitable for seamless installation on aircrafts and ground vehicles.
