  • Abstract
A multiband feed-horn antenna working in L, C, and Ku microwave frequency bands has been designed, fabricated and measured. The proposed antenna uses a low-cost smooth surface horn structure instead of the usual corrugated horn scheme, and is intended to be used to illuminate a Gregorian dual reflector system for satellite monitoring applications. L-band feeding of the horn antenna is performed through a wideband shovel-shaped probe system, effectively making the mechanical design and fabrication simpler and less expensive.
