Abstract
An idea of correcting the excitation coefficients which tend to perturb due to various reasons in a phased array antenna is proposed by a method where the concepts of dithering and restoration are applied for the magnitude and phase of the excitation of individual elements with the help of near field detection and calculations. This concept of adaptive correction through the use of multiple near field sensors for calibration of linear array antennas is presented. Results explaining the necessity of minimum number of measurements through the compressed sensing are also discussed.
