Abstract :
In the future, the level of operational performances that will be required from the systems of airborne RF sensors will be more and more important. In addition, the available space on board for antennas will be increasingly critical, especially on future fighter aircrafts and Unmanned Air Systems (UAS). It is therefore mandatory to develop high performance and thin radiating structures, such as active phased arrays, which can be integrated within the structure of the aircraft. To reduce the number of apertures, they will have to be shared by multiple applications: so, very wideband multifunction antennas from low bands to high bands will be needed. This presentation will show present research conducted at TSA on low profile Tiles for these applications.
