Abstract :
An efficient way to find suitable antenna positions on flying platforms is presented. This is achieved by use of an in-house developed Matlab tool for antenna field of view analysis. Its underlying algorithm and functionality are described. Good agreement between the simplified output of the tool and antenna patterns obtained by 3D EM full-wave simulation is shown using the example of a generic UAV platform.
