Abstract
This paper presents a study of impulsive noise in indoor locations in the Medium Wave Band up to 2 MHz. The work is based on measurement campaign carried out in 2012. The selected five indoor locations are sited in buildings in the area of Bilbao, in the north of Spain. Nine channels of 9 kHz bandwidth, centered in 1350, 1359, 1368, 1711, 1720, 1729, 1901, 1910 and 1919 kHz have been studied. This paper gives answer to the request of the International Telecommunication Union, ITU, in ITU-R 214-3/4 question, which asks to study radio noise, Gaussian and impulsive components in all frequency bands and how should noise measurements be made.
