Abstract :
A novel waveguided metallic photonic crystal based label-free biosensor which couples the particle plasmon resonance and the waveguide resonance mode has been developed. It enhances the sensitivity of the particle Plasmon resonance by several times. And the sensor chip was further modified with protein A. Three different concentrations of mouse IgG were detected. The results indicate that the response has correlation with the concentrations. And the sensor chips can be reused many times by cleaning with the plasma cleaner. The biosensor has advantages of low cost, simple design and simple operation.
