Theory and practice of advanced communication features in aviation
Abstract :
Concrete examples of advanced data link features have been discussed: Availability in theory but not in implementations. Standards providing voluminous options Only partially implemented by vendors For example: WiMAX OR1a does implement only a limited set of IEEE802.16 features Aeronautical data link systems will most probably not provide advanced features. Simple and effective ways are more promising to introduce an IP based communication network for aviation.
