Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) is recognized as a technology which can blur the line between the virtual world and the real world. With the development of Wireless Sensor Network technology, the IoT is getting closer to be deployed all around the world. But in such infrastructures, composed of large numbers of networked, devices with resource-limited, the discovery of services and on-demand provision of missing functionality is a significant challenge. As a step toward design and architecture principles for IoT, we propose a distributed federated sensor network, which introduces all the data producers as service providers and splitting the process of data transmission and services discovery, and hence, provides high quality services that are highly dynamic, more diverse, and efficient. The architecture presents an embryonic form for the future IoT system.
