Abstract :
Multi-hop wireless networks have attracted much attention because of their flexibility and deploy ability. However, we have previously shown that communication stability in multi-hop wireless networks is degraded by a congestion propagation problem that occurs among neighbor APs. To prevent congestion propagation and enable stable communication, we proposed QMTR (Queue Management with Transmission Record) as a buffer management scheme. We have shown that this scheme allows sufficiently stable communication in a steady state. In this study, we consider a more realistic environment that includes transient states. Through simulation evaluation, we show that the scheme enables sufficiently stable communication even under a transient state in multi-hop wireless networks.
