Abstract :
We study the electronic transport of one-dimensional Fibonacci dimer superlattices (SL). We examine numerically the effect of introducing the dimer on the nature of the states of dimer Fibonacci semiconductor superlattices. The transmission coefficient is statistically computed within the transfer-matrix formalism. We consider AlxGa1-xAs/GaAs layers having identical thickness where the aluminium concentration x takes two different values with the constraint that one of them appears in pair . We show that the fractal properties of the transmission spectra are destroyed in Dimer Fibonacci Height Barrier Superlattices (DFHBSL). The transmission spectrum of DFHSL approaches than the periodic configuration with a fluctuation in the amplitude of the coefficient of transmission.
