Abstract
Sri Lanka on the way to achieve its VISIOn in becoming "Asia\´s Miracle" has stepped forward to improve all sectors and industries in the country to its fullest capacity. In considering the health care sector Sri Lanka is facing many challenges in enhancing wellbeing of the infants and mothers specially in the rural areas due to lack of facilities. This research aims to develop an intelligence based system for doctors, mothers, and mid wives to support effective information sharing and capture substantially varying experiences among them during prenatal and post natal stages of motherhood while providing mothers and mid wives with facility to foresee the child\´s health care issues. The system developed as a result provides the users with basic facilities in sharing information and algorithms in Neural Network Technology are used for predictions. The system further facilitates the mothers to acquire expertise knowledge from doctors and midwives regarding child nurturing.
