Abstract
Peer-to-peer traffic detection technology based on DPI identification technology is a main technique for detecting Peer-to-peer traffic at present. Sampling strategy was used in which in order to improve the efficiency of the implementation. But how to set the optimal sampling fraction has not been a standard specification or method. This topic advanced the method how to determine the optimal sampling rate in Peer to Peer traffic detection which based on the sampling, verified the feasibility and effectiveness of this method, expounded relationship between sampling rate and the size of flow and provided the scientific basis for the selection of the sampling rate.
