Abstract
Based on the complex network theory, this paper proposed an energy-aware Barabasi-Albert (EABA) model for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Unlike existing research, tunable coefficients were introduced into the model for balancing connectivity and energy consumption in the network. Mean-field approach was applied to study the degree distribution of EABA. Both theoretical analysis and simulation indicate that EABA is asymptotically power-law, with an exponent no smaller than 3.
