Abstract :
Continuous monitoring of vital signs and motor activity represents a challenging task that is usually associated with home healthcare systems. Different solutions are known generally being characterized by limited flexibility and capability to be integrated in novel architectures associated with remote assessment of health condition of patients out of hospital. In order to assure higher flexibility a modular platform associated with fast prototyping of specific monitor was designed and implemented. A practical approach concerning system applications and performances is included in the paper.
