Abstract :
Electrical utilities are called to satisfy customers´ requirements that are apparently contrasting one each other. As a matter of fact, decreasing of the costs and increasing of the power quality are keywords to enhance the market penetration. Smart maintenance strategy can be of help to face such problem: the measurement of diagnostic property, like the dissipation factor for power transformers, allows to optimize the component replacement or repairing. In this paper a parasitic effectindependent approach for the measurement of dissipation factor in power transformers is presented and discussed.
