Abstract :
In this paper it will be shown how inductive coupling wireless power transfer (WPT) technology can be used to allow structural health monitoring of fiber composite structures. The system has been designed so that it can be embedded into the structure without compromising its mechanical properties. Results will demonstrate that high amounts of power can be transmitted to the embedded system while fulfilling the different project requirements. Finally, it will be demonstrated that a parallel data transmission is also possible.
