  • Abstract
    The computer technology has been applied widely on mechanical engineering design and project management. For wind power industry, the computer technology is always applied by computation and simulation on wind turbine gearbox design. The professional computer software tools can simulate the actual running situations of the gear rating and transmission of the gearbox before manufacturing and prototype testing. This paper proposes the relevant analysis regarding computer technology application on wind turbine gearbox design, and presents the essential auxiliary function of computer simulation of some particular software tools for gearbox operation, gear rating and transmission drive train on wind turbine gearbox design.
