Abstract :
In this paper, metro water overhead tanks monitoring system-using ZigBee based WSN is presented. WSN applications provide ease feasibility on implementation over wired network. The proposed system is used for monitoring the overhead tanks i.e. filling the water tanks or stopping the pumping based on the available water level and monitoring the distribution of water. Prototype remote node was developed to monitor water level and control to the pumping motor. These parameters were communicated to controller node. By using ZigBee based WSN, we can control tanks in wide area using a controller unit.
