Abstract
In this Paper, a design of a parasitic coplanar stripline ultra wideband (UWB) filter with a narrow rejection band at the Wi-MAX frequency (5.8 GHz) using single parasitic line is reported. The filter characteristics are obtained by using stepped impedance open circuited series stubs. It is shown that the rejection band can be placed at a desired Wi-MAX frequency by tuning the width of the high impedance section as well as the length of the parasitic line. Simulated filter shows the insertion loss about -20 dB and the return loss about -35 dB presented.
