  • Abstract
There is an increasing interest in military domain for wearable antennas. This paper presents the development and computation of wearable antenna which are structured into clothing. A compact Coplanar Waveguide fed (CPW) monopole antenna with dual band operation suitable for radar application is investigated. The antenna comprises the shape of a L-I-inverted L shape. By selecting the dimensions optimally the antenna resonates at 1.31 GHz and 3.21 GHz with an impedance bandwidth of 30.24% and 13.39% respectively. The performance of the antenna such as antenna gain and radiation pattern over the operating band has also been obtained. The variation of the three parameters such as W1, G1, and G2 has also been studied. The antenna design is described and simulated results are presented and discussed.
