Abstract

This paper presented a concept of inspection for maintenance of overhead power transmission lines. This concept is based on the document design as checking list which can be used by patrolmen or line inspectors. Health index is therefore calculated from the score obtained from the checking sheet. This checking sheet is filled by line inspectors according to physical conditions, aging or depreciation of overhead transmission lines. The health index will be used as an indicator in order to determine or to provide maintenance planning for overhead power transmission line system.
