Abstract :
This study reports on the effects of the presence of zeolite particles in the electrospinning of Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) polymer solution and resultant fiber diameter. The investigation of the surface morphology was done by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The fiber diameters were measured using the ImageJ software. The results showed that, the fiber diameter ranged from 142-190nm from 4wt% concentration of PVA solution. The fiber diameter was bigger from 12wt% PVA concentration. The higher the amount of zeolite particles in the nanofibers membrane, the larger is the fiber diameter. The fiber diameter however showed a reduction in size with higher voltage supply.
