  • Abstract
Synonymous codon usage is a ubiquitous phenomenon in the genes of organisms. It is a phenomenon that is closely associated with gene expression level, understanding of which may have practical applicability in biomedicine sector. In this study, the synonymous codon usage in Nlrp1 gene was investigated. Because Nlrp1 gene encodes for NLRP1 inflammasome, which is an important cytosolic pathogen sensor in the immune system, our results may shed light in the immunopathology and therapeutic strategies.
