Abstract :
Bacterial Foraging Optimization Algorithm (BFOA) is a kind of algorithm of simulating the human E. Coli. The main characteristics of this method are distributed computation, good robustness and a good search efficiency. In this paper, the economic dispatch of hydro power system has been studied. Using BFOA, the method of solving the problem of economic dispatch of hydro power system is given. Simulation results show that the proposed method is higher efficiency than the conventional one.
