Abstract :
A three-dimensional imaging system of ultrasonic logging instrument is designed by use of MATLAB and VB. After the data points of the large diameter borehole are measured by the ultrasonic logging instrument, they are processed in sorting, filtering, cubic spline interpolation and linear interpolation, data fusion and 3D drawing by MATLAB. Through the interface technology of VB and MATLAB the 3D borehole and its measured data are displayed in VB windows. The designed system has improved the performance of the Ultrasonic Logging instrument and played a very important role in guiding drilling production.
