Abstract :
Electroslag remetlting (ESR) process is a typical large inertia, multivariable coupling, pure time-delay, parameters time-variance and nonlinear controlled object. Firstly, the traditional electroslag remelting technique and the mathematical modeling methods are introduced in brief. Then the intelligent control methods of the electroslag remelting process, such as the fuzzy controller, the neural network controller and the decoupling controller, are introduced in details. Finally, the future research directions and intelligent control prospects of the controlled ESR object are discussed.
