Abstract
The work presents theoretical and experimental researches concerning the simulation of a biomagnetic signal generated by a human heart. The theoretical researches started from heart assimilation with a magnetic dipole whose dimensions are comparable to the human heart, a dipole located at a well-defined distance from a magnetometer/gradiometer. The experimental results concerning the distance dependence of the distribution of the magnetic field produced by the magnetic field simulator assimilated to the heart are presented.
