Abstract :
The aim of this study is to present the influence on a biomagnetic measurement of some sources of magnetic field perturbations. A study regarding the influence of the magnetic field perturbations sources compared with the biological sources of magnetic field was realized. The perturbation signal induced in a SQUID transducer placed at a set distance from different type of sources (equipments and electrical conductors) was analyzed. The field gradients produced by some perturbation sources were calculated and the possibilities to reduce the perturbation signals are presented. This study is useful to establish the methods to optimize the electromagnetic compatibility of an unshielded SQUID biomagnetometer with the electromagnetic environment from a hospital or a medical clinic.
