Abstract
An improved nonlinear model of switched reluctance motor with losses for use in control system has been presented in order to improve the accuracy of the model. The specific requirement was separating the data of losses and the data without losses. The equivalent circuit of measuring flux has been analyzed and a virtual iron loss resistance formula has been deduced. Based on the sample data, an analytic formula of virtual iron loss resistance with the measured voltage, the measured current and the angular position has been gotten, as well as the analytic formula of the iron current with the angular position, the pure-phase-current (the current without losses) and the phase-voltage. Model results have been compared with measured values for a 500W, three-phase, 12/8 pole SRM.
