Abstract :
The IEC 60044-7 and 8 standards apply to Electronic Current and Voltage Transformers (ECT and EVT) for metering and protection measurements in AC electrical networks. This paper describes a new architecture for Sensor interface to be used with dedicated primary sensors, Rogowski coil and resistive divider, for ECT and EVT designs respectively. The sensor interface features original self calibration technique. It exhibits less than 0.1% amplitude error and less than 1.5 mrad phase error for both current and voltage measurement.
