  • Abstract
    The photovoltaic(PV) module has the nonlinear current-voltage characteristics. To track the maximum power in PV-module, maximum power point tracking(MPPT) algorithm is needed in PV power generation system. To use MPPT algorithm, the PV generation system is essential for PV-module´s current and voltage. In this paper, a current sensorless MPPT algorithm is proposed for a photovoltaic generation system using AC-module type flyback inverter. The proposed method estimate the PV current without using current sensor. Thus, the cost of an AC-module type flyback inverter can be reduced. Theoretical analysis and simulation are performed in order to verify the proposed current sensorless MPPT method.
